Another morning has dawned with Bella the busy bee hard at work again. Already I have realized my lack of writing in the past few months may lead to a loss of fans and writing ability. What if I start writing like I did in the fifth grade? I think that would be horrible, but, luckily, I don't have the time to search out a sample. Now, eight grade poetry is exactly where I know it is, but I don't want people burning down my house for bad taste. So what has been keeping me occupied this morning? While catching up with my new friend, Veronica Mars, I have cleaned some cat hair off of ten fabric items, baked a cake that I hope is as tasty as promised, and cleaned up after my child. All this heat causes the particularly fuzzy animals to begin to have problems digesting all that gets into their mouths when cleaning. So what lies ahead for the buzzing bee? I need to make some biscuits and chicken gravy for the pot luck tomorrow, clean, talk to the most wonderful man in the world, attend a house party, and work on a talk. |

At last, I found a moment to sit down and update this poorly treated masterpiece. I could defend myself, but I have no need to. As this is a place to tell my few but faithful readers about the small snippets of my life that I care to share, I can just talk about my busy life and all shall be well. I have accomplished quite a bit recently despite unrighteous demands from people who confuse my bank account and my time with their own. You might be surprised how many of those people exist in my world. I try not to let it get to me, but after years of people having the same issue, I have reached the end of my tether. In short, I've broken it, and people don't seem to appreciate the new and less usable me. Despite all this, I have made headway with the joy (and pain) that is wedding planning. I finally got around to ordering my dress. I am sure that I will receive the call before too long questioning the measurements that I gave them. I am seriously considering claiming that Dolly Parton is my mom. That should shut them up, right? I also ordered invitations and save the date cards to remind people that it is polite and wise to RSVP to the reception, so that we can provide enough food. I hope people like cookies because I think that will be the edible favor. I have three other types of favors that were provided by my friend Michelle. Unlike me, she went wild with wedding planning and ended up with tons of extra items. Apparently, she loves me because she offered them to me. I have also received lots of support and offers to help from my reasonable friends. We all have unreasonable friends, so don't gasp in surprise that I feel I must differentiate. I don't mean friends we disagree with, I mean friends who are more like demanding leeches than friends. You know the type. So what lies ahead of me? More wedding planning. More guest list defining. More cats trying to trip me down the stairs. Hopefully, some time to write. More attempts to find my desk at work. I think we get the picture. |
