As I invest more and more time into remodeling our home office, I tell myself that I will be more diligent about my posts, my writings, and my crafts when I get this space organized. I hope I am right. After all, the world needs more rantings about the things I find important--from aces to zebras. Doesn't it? |
I've been painting trim and baseboards the past couple of mornings. Just a few more details and my home office will be back in functioning condition. In fact, it should be more functional than ever before since we're going to organize it and add more bookshelves. Of course, all of this painting leads me to the following realizations: It often feels like I get more paint on me than what I am intending to paint. I do not look healthy with white speckles all over me. I take an exceptionally long time to paint one small surface do to that snippet of perfectionism that has angry little roots in my personality. Painting, like most things goes better with the right music--not too fast and not too slow. |
