Since I spent last week relaxing with my husband, I decided to make up for it today. I took my required morning walk, thankful for the cooler temperatures brought by some overnight rain. Then I finished loading the bookshelf I got for my birthday with handmade journals and adorable little stuffed friends. I really need to sell some of those journals to make room for more inanimate monsters. PLEASE ask to buy one. I have plenty of options in blue, red, and brown not to mention pink, purple, yellow, and black. Please, ASK QUESTIONS about this. I also dusted and reorganized a couple of shelves that have been taunting me for months. My efforts just proved that I am a packrat, but I did locate something I was looking for in the fall, so I may have a more entertaining post on my other blog soon. (Tantalizing, I know!) Doing all this random cleaning with a tiny baby nestled in my belly has left me a little weary, but it will be worth it in the long run. I have reclaimed some space and even finished a couple more beautiful journals to boot... |
Satisfaction comes from a variety of venues. Today I found satisfaction in karma catching up with someone before they could hurt someone else. Racing down the interstate at the posted speed limit, I kept exact pace with the car a car-length and a half ahead of me. A blur in my rear view mirror caught my attention as it revealed itself to be a silver Honda Civic traveling at a high rate of speed. It cut between me and the car in front of me and proceeded to weave in and out of other cars ahead of me until it disappeared from view. I shook my head, marveling at the brazen stupidity of some people. A couple of minutes later, blue and red lights drew my eyes to my rear view mirror. My eyes instantly checked my speed, exactly where the signs told me to keep it, and I glanced up as the police car zoomed past me. "I hope he gets that civic." I said, admittedly a bitter statement, but some people need reminded to make good choices. A little further down the road, I noticed the blue and red lights again. This time, they rested by the side of the road. Parked in front of the cruiser? The silver Honda Civic. Satisfaction! |
