February 6, 2016: Resurrection Spells

*poof*

We're back with more words from our erstwhile writer. Luckily, news, hopes, and dreams run rampant today. First, I won my first National Novel Writing Month challenge this year. I managed to eek out 50,000 words in thirty days. Had I not chosen a somewhat fluffy genre to write, I might be trying to convince you that you want to read my masterpiece. Somehow, I feel I fall flat in that genre, particularly since so many people pump out fluffy romance novels that make better feels than mine.

Second, my muse has been nagging me to write, revise, and publish. Even if I have to use amazon's publishing option where my faithful readers order the book and then it gets printed, bound, and mailed to their door. I'll try to keep you updated.

Third, I think I need a little uncharacteristic therapy. Characters in books can't disappoint their author because the author knows them inside out. If you don't like them, they become the antagonist and learn their lesson, whether they have to traverse the pearly gates to do so is wholly up to the author. Ah, the power of the written word. If only it was so easy to convince people to be their best selves...

February 7, 2017: Inadvertently...

I started my revisions today and I have my work cut out for me. What made me happy thirteen years ago falls short of my contemporary literary goals. In other words, I think I need more story and more entertainment before I unveil it to the world in its new iteration. Can you contain your excitement? I am not sure I can.

As I danced around finishing everyday tasks so I would have time to charm my writing, I inadvertently participated in Taco Tuesday. I didn't realize I had entered mainstream eating patterns until I was trying to concoct my own taco seasoning from the wide array of spices in my overflowing spice cabinet. I'll try not to be so mundane with my writing. It's good to be surprised.
